Dans les années 1920, il déménagea au Nord de la rivière Ohio, à New
Albany, dans l’Etat de l’Indiana. Avec son épouse Henrietta C. Grove,
ils eûrent six enfants.

En 1910, le nom de "F.A. Grove" apparaît pour la première fois dans les publications de la société Watch Tower. Il est décrit comme un des "Aînés & Diacres" de l’ecclésia de Louisville (JONES Leslie W., Souvenir notes Bible Students‘ conventions - 1910, Chicago, 1910, photographies après la page 114). Son adhésion au mouvement présidé par le pasteur Russell, remonte par conséquent quelques années avant cette date. Le 29 juin 1911, il participa à un symposium, lors d’une convention des Etudiants de la Bible, à Portland dans l’Etat de l’Oregon (JONES Leslie W., Souvenir notes Bible Students' conventions - 1911, Chicago, 1911, p.122). En 1914, il prononça un discours lors d’une assemblée à New Albany (The Courier-Journal, Louisville: Etat du Kentucky, 28 mars 1914, p.12). Au fil du temps, le "Frère Frank A. Au minimum à partir de 1910, le Maître franc-maçon Grove fréquenta parallèlement deux cellules maçonniques et une ecclésia de la société I.B.S.A. en qualité d’Aîné ou de Diacre. En 1911, 1912 et partiellement en 1913, il continua conjointement à participer aux rituels de la loge Lewis Loge No.191 et au mouvement initié par Charles T. Russell.
Par ailleurs, le pharmacien Grove aida vraisemblablement la congrégation de Louisville, en septembre 1910, pour obtenir la location du "Lewis Masonic Hall" (The Courier-Journal, Louisville: Etat du Kentucky, 4 septembre 1910, p.14).
